New customers are always very pleasantly surprised at our reasonable prices, prompt delivery and
very close attention to a high quality product. When you give your valued art to a
picture framer all you see at the end is a finished product, you have no idea what has gone
on inside the frame and how the work has been treated. If you know what to look
for, you can get some idea of the quality by the workmanship, or lack of it, on
the outside. Why not entrust your work to a qualified picture framer in the
first place - we don't take chances with your art.
What do we frame? ...... just about anything! We expertly frame fine art, needleworks
such as Cross-stitch, samplers and tapestries, also photographs, memorabilia,
objects, old documents, to name but a few.
Three good reasons to
use us.... We offer three standards of picture framing all of which will enhance and
protect your art. ONE...Even
at our "Basic" level of framing we always use acid neutral materials throughout. TWO...We
don't take any payment up front, and on request will give you a firm total
price and a collection date, normally within 10 working days,
although this can be flexible if you need it in a rush. THREE...We
carry a large stock of card, mouldings and glass but can normally re-stock within 2 - 3 working
days, depending on availability at our suppliers, so it shouldn't inconvenience you.
Picture Restoration - Have your old or damaged pictures scanned, re-touched and printed again! This works very well on very
old and fragile photographs. We re-print your pictures onto 265gsm, 100% cotton
paper using archival quality pigment ink. The new,
more robust picture can be framed more cheaply or distributed to friends and
family whilst preserving the original in a safe environment, such as in a
"museum standard" framed environment. We can also scan your 35mm prints, slides
and negatives. Have stunning new "positive" prints made from your old negatives,
colour or black & white. Bespoke frame finishing - we can produce a completely unique finish on your frame, in practically any colour
and texture combination, to your own specification, using speciality paints,
stains, varnishes and waxes. All you need to do is pick a moulding which is the
right shape and size to suit you - it doesn't matter if it already has a finish. Truly a bespoke framing service in every sense of the word.
Frames -You are welcome to visit our modern workshop and gallery,
select from many moulding samples. We only use the best quality wooden mouldings
and have a fine selection of beautiful natural Oak,
Ash, Beech and Cherry mouldings, as well as some exotic hardwoods, finished and
plain from around the World (All
from EU certified sources).
Frame Restoration - We will
expertly clean, restore and re-finish damaged gilt frames back to their
original beauty. Oil paintings can be cleaned, re-lined and re-stretched.
Mounts (oval, round or
rectangles) beautifully cut mounts with plain or decorative corners, ink lined,
wash lined, supplied to individuals, galleries and other framers.
Glazing for regular, conservation and museum grade work, we stock seven different kinds of glass
comprising the finest picture glazing material available. See samples of
different glazing in conjunction with your art and select the most appropriate.
